The Netherlands Policy Academy's Centres of Knowledge develop and collect knowledge to benefit both policing practice and police training. The foremost topics include local policing, criminal investigation, digitalisation, intelligence, technology and human conduct and the organisation. This knowledge allows us to help Police Officers and Netherlands Police Academy tutors to do their work.

  • 4 Centres of Knowledge

  • 35 Knowledge workers

  • 30 Lecturers and researchers

Knowledge workers, lecturers, researchers, tutors, and Police Officers all work together in these Centres of Knowledge. They are often joined by experts from other educational and knowledge institutions, both Dutch and international.

A properly functioning and reliable police force is important to society and the Netherlands Police Academy possesses a lot of expertise on the police profession - reasons why other knowledge institutes are happy to cooperate with the centres of knowledge in conducting their research.

Our knowledge services provide knowledge to police practise and police education.
